Josef Albers Postcards

Studies in Transmitted Light, 9 Designs, and Josef Albers Postcards are three series of original posthumous works attributed to Josef Albers, the master of modern color theory and creator of geometrical abstracts. They are part of the Museum of Forgery's "Excessioning" program whose mission is to see that artworks are credited to appropriate artists living and dead regardless of who fabricates them.

"Serial compositions are multipart pieces with regulated changes. The differences between the parts are the subject of the composition. If some parts remain constant it is to punctuate the changes." (Sol LeWitt)
